2 Years...

Its been 2 years since Patrick and I were married for time and all eternity. I'm so glad we have together forever.
I carry your heart with me.
I carry it in my heart.
I am never without it.
Anywhere I go, you go, my dear.
And whatever is done by only me...
is your doing, my darling.
I fear no fate...
for you are my fate, my sweet.
I want no world, for, beautiful...
you are my world, my true.
Here is the deepest secret no one knows.
Here is the root of the root...
and the bud of the bud...
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life...
which grows higher than the soul can hope...
or mind can hide.
It is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart.
I carry your heart.
I carry it in my heart.

We all knew this was coming.
A Zac Efron musical guilty pleasure song.
The hard part was figuring out what song to use.
Which means there will be more High School Musical songs in the future.
P.S- If I have let you borrow my HSM3 dvd or cd will you please return them!
P.S.S- Try to endure Vanessa Hudgens attempt at a ballet type dance moves in this video.

The truth is- Sometimes when I'm wearing my glasses I forget they aren't sunglasses and that people can see me if I roll my eyes. And if I wear them outside I have to resist the urge to push them on top of my head, like sunglasses, when I walk inside. I wonder if I'll ever get over this.

The truth is- I finally figured out what my favorite food is. Cereal. Any kind. Which brings me to my next truth. . . .

The truth is- One time I ate bugs. It was the day Andrew left, I was watching a movie, eating some cereal and I looked down to see those little weevils in my bowl of raisin bran. Some were dead. Some were alive and crawling to safety on the sides of the bowl. Of course by the time I noticed half my cereal was gone. I immediately threw up. Then cried. But the crying was probably due to the fact I was super sad Andrew was leaving and was watching The World Trade Center (movie). I was put off cereal for a long time after that.

The truth is- A lot of the "big shot artists" that the world and a lot of people like, I don't like. Like Madonna. Or U2. Or Metallica. Don't like any of them. Kind of think they are overrated. Sorry.

The truth is- I've had so much peanut butter in the last few months that if you cut me I'd probably bleed peanut butter. Creamy style.

The truth is- Sometimes Patrick and I have "sleep-over night". Sleep-over night is when we flip our pillows down to the foot of the bed and switch spots. Sometimes you just sleep better when your in a new different position on your bed. And it always feels so strange to sleep flipped around! It's like your sleeping in someone else's bed. Hence the name "sleep-over night".

The truth is- No one has made any comments about Preston's hair in awhile. Comments like "oh red hair, he must have a temper" or "oh red hair he's going to be stubborn". I'm very glad about this. Because neither he or I have are stubborn or have a temper with our red hair. And now I've jinxed it.

Im hoping this week goes by fast. We need another weekend.

A few weeks ago I impressed Patrick with my knowledge of knowing all the words to this song. Actually "impressed" might not be the right word....
But once upon a time someone bet me I couldnt memorize the words in 1 night.
I did. And it's stuck with me ever sense.
Then they performed it on Glee and it was llike the circle of life was completed.

You know you secretly love this song too....

The truth is - last week Patrick came home and asked what I did while he was at work, and I told him the truth. I solved crimes. Translation: watched CSI. I'm getting good at figuring things out before the experts!

The truth is- Titanic was on tv a few weeks ago. I wanted to sit and watch it since we all know I have a thing for Titanic.... but it wouldn't end till like 12:30am. So I DVR'd it! I've since watched it a couple few times.

The truth is- I didn't get to try any of the food at my own reception. In fact the only thing I ate was the bite of cake that Patrick fed me. He however had 2 plates of food. After the reception I made him stop at Jack-In-The-Box. Best curly fries and orange Fanta I've ever had.

The truth is- My senior year of High School I don't think I missed a single episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Dawsons Creek. I stopped watching Buffy after Angel left, because really what was the point!? And as for Dawsons Creek, it really should have been called Pacey's Creek.

The truth is- I made a reference the the cartoon/toy My Pet Monster the other day, and Patrick had never heard of it. I felt old.

The truth is- Going to the Glee Tour on Saturday may have made my love for Glee worse. I know what your thinking, how could it be worse.? It is. Oh it is. In fact, look for a Glee post sometime in the future.

The truth is- When Punchy was around (see previous The Truth is Wed for explanation of Punchy) she use to really pick on my nephew Keaton. He'd be playing on the ground with his Thomas trains and she'd sneak up on him and then jump on his head with all 4 feet. He'd push her off and say "stop Punchy, I'm not pwaying wif you right now". Hilarious.

Seriously too fast of a weekend. Saturday especially flew by. It included:

Jimmy going camping * running * Chatting/laughing/hanging out with Krissa * Climbing the mountain (twice) * Falling down the mountain (once) * scraped knees * yardwork * Red high Heels * Leaving Preston with a real babysitter (ok, it was Krissa, but still the first non-family who's watched him!) * Carly & Blaines wedding * Preston looking super hip in what can only be described as Lady GaGa glasses * Taking a lot of pictures * Sunshine. Lots and lots of sunshine * Dr. Pepper * cute dress * good food * TheLXD dance crew * GLEE TOUR!!!!!!!* Sing-a-longs * Preston impressing us with his dinosaur impression skills * Brownies* Church * Birthday dinner * Tired eyes * Hugs * Kisses * Airplane rides * Going to bed way too late and getting up way too early *

Hopefully this week is just as fun, but with a little more sleep.

Remember this when I confessed about my love for Backstreet Boys (aka BsB)?!
This is the song that started it all.
And thats all I've got to say about that.

Confession... just watched it twice, and I still love it and remember all the good parts, and still wish that I was one of those girls at the end.

Family Pictures

So last week we hiked up that mountain to take some family pictures. YUP. Hiked that mountain in a skirt. YUP. Carried Preston halfway up and then back down. YUP. I'm awesome like that.
The pictures turned out GREAT!! (Eliott took them for us). Here are some of my favorites. I put some up of Preston on his blog, and you should go look at them. Preston's making some pretty great faces in some of the pictures, I'll have to post some outtakes soon. But till then, enjoy the eyebrow he's got goin on in the 3rd picture down.

The truth is- I use to think no one read my blogs (except Krissa) until about a month ago when people started telling me they check Prestons blog all the time.

The truth is- Patrick and I officially became engaged on the day we went to go scout out a location to take our engagement pictures.

The truth is- I use to have this cat who's name was Punchy. Strange name for a cat, I know. But it was just Andrew and I living here at the time, and he agreed to let me keep the cat if he could name it. It just so happened that he was going through a Rocky Balboa stage and told me my choices were Punchy or Butkiss- the names Rocky gave to his dogs in various Rocky movies. I went with Punchy.

The truth is- I hate walking down the stairs in my house while wearing shoes.

The truth is- When Prestons hair sticks up it reminds me of a baby orangutan. In a cute way of course.

The truth is- When I was younger my siblings and I use to make up dances and then perform them for various relatives. One time Laura and I did Phantom of the Opera. I was the phantom of course. Homemade mask and everything. We performed it at some family birthday party. Pictures exist, video does not. For which I am thankful.

Cleanin out my closet....

I wasn't kidding when I posted on Facebook that my closet makes me feel like I belong on an episode of Hoarders. I have a LOT of clothes. So many clothes that I think that for the first 2 months Patrick and I dated I didn't wear the same thing twice. I just like clothes. They make me feel pretty. But it was getting out of hand. So for the past few day's I've been working on getting it organized. I think it turned out pretty good!

(This is Patrick's side of the closet. Poor guy, the rest of the closet is mine.)

Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day!
Being a mom is..... indescribable.

I LOVE IT.

And I love my own mom.
Who was great.
And who I miss a lot lately.
"Through out the generations, Mothers have been honored as they have honored their sacred calling. Every sister who stands for truth and righteousness diminishes the influence of evil. Every sister who strengthens and protects her family is doing the work of God. Every sister who lives as a woman of God becomes a beacon for others to follow and plants seeds of righteous influence that will be harvested for decades to come. Every sister who makes and keeps sacred covenants becomes an instrument in the hands of God." Elder Russell M Ballard

Guilty Pleasure Song

I'm so glad they remade the movie musical Hairspray. I have nothing against the original or Ricki Lake, but I do so love the new version!! John Travolta as Edna Turnblad is perfect. Amanda Bynes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, James Marsden, Allison Janney the list goes on and on. And everyone is hillarious in it.

Oh and Zac Efron. Thats a post for a whole different day. Basically the kid belongs in musicals, and I belong on my couch watching him.

PLUS the new Hairspray was directed by Adam Shankman, and he's my favorite favorite judge on So You Think You Can Dance!

This is definitely one of my favorite musicals, favorite movies, favorite soundtracks, favorite to sing along to, just favorite favorite.

I want to be in this movie.

The Truth is Wednesday. . .

*The truth is my friend Krissa made this button so that I don't have to struggle with the word confession anymore. What a good friend. Did you also know she made the header for my blog as well as designed Prestons?!

*The truth is the first time Patrick came over I wasn't completely sure his name was Patrick. See, when he started Myspace emailing me he never signed his emails "Patrick", and his username was his nickname he got on his mission, Fub. So I looked through his comments to see if someone used his name, and someone called him "patty cakes" so I just figured his name was Patrick. Then when he introduced himself to Andrew as Patrick I knew my detective work was right. He didn't know this story up until a few weeks ago.

* The truth I saw Titanic 13 times in the theaters. It should be noted this is not why my dogs name is Jack, thats just a happy coincidence. Kind of funny that I don't even own Titanic on DVD now.

*The truth is before Titanic my previous movie theater record was 9 times, and that was for Romeo & Juliet. Leonardo DiCaprio in his prime = hotness.

*The truth is I have to have at least 1 foot uncovered in order to fall asleep. And I can not CAN NOT ever sleep with socks on.

*The truth is I can't wait for Preston to try Pop Rocks for the first time. It's going to blow his mind.

*The truth is if I could have any job in the world (besides being a stay at home mom) I'd want to be on Broadway. Singing & dancing are just fun for me! Which is probably why I put on a show for the people who drive down Brown Road everyday when we go on our walk and I sing. Kind of hard to dance while pushing a stroller. Being a cake decorator would be fun too...

*The truth is when I was pregnant I couldn't stand fruity gum. Now I can't get enough of it. Especially Trident Layers. It's like a starburst and jolly rancher that you chew on!

*The truth is I'm 28 years old now.

This weekend was great! Kinda long, but still goood. It included:
